Lamothe graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. cum laude in Sociology and Government. Her senior thesis received the Harvard University Albert M. Fulton Prize for Best Thesis in the Field of Sociology. Prior to Princeton, she worked as an analyst for a policy research and evaluation firm, focusing on domestic social and economic programs. Her current research interests lie in network science, complex systems, cultural and economic sociology, and inequality.
