Olivia is a doctoral student in the Princeton sociology program. She received her BA in sociology and criminal justice from the University of South Dakota in 2018. Her honors thesis explored queer people’s perceptions of sexual assault victims and perpetrators. Her current interests include theoretical criminology, poverty and welfare, and the intersections of welfare and criminal justice systems. She is currently working on a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation-funded research study of disadvantaged counties across the country.
